This is the website for OPSEU Local 545 at the Ontario Central Public Health Laboratory in Toronto.

The Local is a composite Local which includes:

• Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Central Public Health Laboratory
• Ministry of Labour, Occupational Health & Safety Branch
• Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Supply and Financial Services Branch
  

As of July 2008, the Local included 387 members.

Bill 171 received Royal Assent on June 4, 2007, which created the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion, which will officially take over the Ontario Public Health Laboratories as of December 15, 2008.

The Local Union Office is on site at the Central Public Health Laboratory and is staffed by the Executive every Wednesday during the lunch hours of 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The monthly staff rotation is as follows:
